The Southwest Tour makes its first visit to Sonoma's twisting road
course and Roman Calczynski takes home the win. It was his first of four
wins in 1987.

Winston West champion Jimmy Insolo's first of two Southwest Tour starts
nets him a top-5. It was his best career finish in the series.

Roman Calczynski led the final 14 laps. There were 3 cautions. There are
conflicts because newspapers say the track was 1.7 miles, which I find
no other evidence of.
