RaceFanX posted: 10.19.2015 - 2:05 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Jim Walker, making his only start of 1992, crashed out of the track on the opening lap of this race. He was one of a few cars collected in the incident and just softly nosed over the wall and out of the track. The track didn't have a catch fence where left the racing surface. Rick Carelli dominated the race and won but its wasn't a walkover. Ron Hornaday, Jr. was hot on his heels in the closing laps. I bet no one in the crowd that night had any idea both those guys would go onto to fame racing pickup trucks in just a few short years. This was Carelli's fifth win of the season and a nice bounce back after three consecutive finishes well outside the top-10 following his win at Stockton earlier in the year. 2.
