This race was actually at Cajon and not Madera.

Pole speed - 87.283 mph by Craig Raudman (8-car invert)

First caution - 29 accident
Sixth caution - fluid on track frontstretch

A stackup on the frontstretch on lap 79 made accordions out of Nelson
and Lynch's cars and very nicely oiled up the whole racetrack.

Winnings:

Nick Joanides had his trailer stolen in the nearly two-month layoff
between the Phoenix event and this race at Cajon. He was already reeling
from a mechanical failure on the opening start at Phoenix that left him
down on power for the remainder of that show. The week before this race,
the local PD got a tip from a nearby auto shop that bought a
transmission, gears and a bell housing that matched the description of
parts Joanides was missing. A couple arrests were made and some pit
tools were recovered as well, but Joanides was going to be scrambling to
run Cajon either way. The Jackson Race Cars team let Joanides borrow
parts he needed just to show up to Cajon, and this goodwill eventually
led to a future partnership between them in the years to come.
