Andy Petree was a guest of Ken Schrader and was late to the event, showing up just as Menard passed and beat Ken. Petree signed Paul to a A/B/C package in 2003 following this event. Other notables: Matt Crafton running doing double duty Erik Darnell in 6th (future Roush driver) Future Busch series regulars Brandon Whitt, Auggie Vidovich, and Burney Lamar competed. Future cup driver David Gilliland has a rough showing in 25th. 2. This victory was his only one on the Southwest Tour. 3.
