Jerry Robertson's second and final NASCAR Southwest victory. Both of his
wins came here at Colorado National Speedway.

Rip Michels won the pole for this race with a 16.243 second lap. Burney
Lamar and Auggie Vidovich, future Busch Series foes, each put a 16.244
second lap on the board. Talk about close!

To the rear - 91 - pitting before the green flag

Robertson and his team whiffed on their qualifying setup and weren't
allowed to work on the car during the impound at all. So the team
changed over their setup on the pace laps instead. Whatever they did
clearly worked as he drove all the way up to 10th place by lap 25!

First caution - 29 stalled turn 1
Second caution - 55 spun turn 2
Third caution - 95 oil on track (20 minute red flag! Apparently, Muhler
was staying out until they would stop scoring him due to his car smoking
and on the 5th and final lap of his black flag, the rear end decided to
completely let go)
Fourth caution - debris turn 3
Fifth caution - 14 spun turn 4
