Rip Michels scores his lone Southwest Tour win as the series makes its
final visit to California's Irwindale Speedway. With this as the third
to last race for this series ever Michels became the last new driver to
win on the tour.

Greg Pursley, a former series regular, makes his lone start of the
series' final season and turns in an impressive runner-up performance.
Pursley's entry was the last on the tour for the famous #70 Star Nursery
Chevrolet.

Brandon Loverock's sixth-place run was his best in this series.
