Did they get $100 or something for every lap they led? I assume Sarles
would've won $10,000 if he didn't lead that one lap.

Only Indy 500 starts for Percy Ford, Eddie Miller, Riley Brett,
Cornelius Van Ranst, and Louis Fontaine.

Last Indy 500 starts for Rene Thomas, Jean Chassagne, and Andre Boillot.

Nine years after leading the most laps by a driver that did not win (196
out of 198 completed in 1912), Ralph DePalma experiences similar misery,
leading 108 of 112 laps he completed in this running of the Indianapolis
500.
