legend David Pearson.

only "Busch" start for Gene Glover, most famous for a 1980 crash that
nearly ended Dale Jarrett's career (though Glover flipped 6 or 7 times,
Dale's ankle was crushed and twisted completely around).

Owner of #15 Brad Teague was Charlie Henderson~ This was their first
start in the BGN series~ The #45 Dale Earnhardt car was owned by Robert
Gee, and was sponsored by Wrangler Jeans~ He had to be #45 for this race
because Brad Teague was entered as the 15~

Parsons was sponsored by Skoal Bandit in this one - he declared in
Victory Lane, "That's the first win for a Skoal Bandit car. The second
one will come tomorrow."

At that point in his career Harry Gant had racked up 10 runner-up
finishes in his Cup career but had still never won - that first win
would finally come a month later in Martinsville.
