Chances are, more than 2 people made their first career start. Please comment if you find out why these people DNFed and why Ellis earned so much more money than anyone else. 5. As a part of the Winner's Circle plan Ingram, Ard, Ellis and Bodine accepted an extra $500 to $1000 per race. Butch Lindley turned the offer down preferring to go for the biggest purse available each week. When Bodine got a Cup ride with Cliff Stewart he dropped out of the plan and was replaced Tommy Houston and Phil Parsons. 10.
