my question is how come robert gee is listed as the owner, when the
hendrick motorsports site has them as the owner?

18 year old Rick Hanley went head on into the wall in between turns 3
and 4 during qualifying and broke both his ankles, legs, and his left
arm as well as a minor concussion.

It's funny, they just said during Nextel Cup practice from Charlotte
that the #17 car driven by Bill Elliott in this race was, in fact, owned
by Darrell Waltrip.

Robert Gee was a bodyman at HMS, and thus, Hendrick decided to put some
of his teams in his name. This was one of them.

This was Awesome Bill's first Busch series start.

This was Dale Earnhardt's fourth Busch series win

Last Busch series starts for Randy Tissot and Mike Riley

Probably happened a lot in Busch but still cool to have both of Ned
Jarrett's boys, Dale and Glenn, in the same race

On the newly-launched Hendrick Heritage website, Dale Earnhardt is
listed as having won this race for Hendrick Motorsports

As noted, Robert Gee was Dale Earnhardt's father-in-law, and was usually
listed as owner of Dale's Late Model or Busch Series cars until the
creation of DEI. As for Hendrick, someone is confused. Rick Hendrick
didn't enter racing until 1984, with driver Geoff Bodine. That holds
true for both Cup and Busch and the team was "All-Star Racing", not
Hendrick Motorsports.
