Jay Hedgecock's 6th place finish proved to be the greatest effort of his
NASCAR career. After appearing in a handful of Busch Grand National
events during the series' infancy, he did not compete in another race in
the major divisions for almost a decade, finally resurfacing with 3
Winston Cup starts over 1993-94.

Dale Jarrett finishes up the season with his 17th top 5 and yet still no
win to show for it.
Fortunately he had quite the career ahead of him
