Thurman looked to be running a '74 Charger Lake Speed had the fastest car early on but spun out after arguing over the lead with Sam Ard. Glenn Jarrett has an '82 Thunderbird that got wiped out when Linville spun down the track in front of him, Linville got hammered in the driver's side but was okay. Affleck blew the engine and spun, then got collected by Ronnie Silver in a hard hit that tore the right side off Silver's car. Bouchard and Bodine duked it out over the final laps. 3. Apparently, Dale later acquired the Oldsmobile and held onto it for a few years before selling it to a young short tracker by the name of David Gaines, who was planning on entering the Sportsman Division in 1990.
