RaceFanX posted: 03.17.2020 - 2:14 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Near as I can tell this wasn't a combination race but it still attracted a lot of crossover entrants from ARCA including Davey Allison, Bob Brevak, Bob Schacht, Bill Venturini, Michael Marden, and Fred Zack. This would be Marden's only NASCAR Busch Series start and it came driving a car sponsored by Trailer Train, a company that provided railroad freight cars and intermodal shipping. 11. You can see ARCA guys littered through out most of the early NASCAR Races here. IRP did this for improving car counts given that the track was fairly far away from most teams. Also Sportsman cars were allowed in ARCA competition and if you look at some early 80s ARCA races at Daytona, you'll notice a lot of drivers who also ran the Sportsman race in them. 12. Probably increasing the car count is why so many ARCA drivers entered. 13.
