The Waltrip brothers start alongside each other and finish 2nd and 3rd,
their best combined effort in a BGN race.

This was Rob Moroso's second win in a row at Charlotte.

Winston Cup racer Greg Sacks crosses over and claims the first of his
two Busch series poles in just his third start in the series. Sacks
didn't have a good race, leading no laps before a blown motor sidelined
him, and this would be the last start behind the wheel for his #87
Lowe's Foods Pontiac effort he fielded with Frank Cicci before he gave
the wheel to other drivers.
