After being reconfigured into more of a triangle the track would later host the Truck Series from 1995-1999. While it did host NASCAR, Louisville is probably better remembered for hosting popular Monster Truck Figure-8 races that aired on ESPN and TNN in the 80s and 90s 2. RaceFanX posted: 02.25.2017 - 12:35 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Tommy Houston picks up the first of his three Busch wins in 1989, a nice recovery after he blew up and finished down the running order in the 1988 race here. The Buicks won both of the Busch series' trips to Louisville with different drivers.
