The blow engine early in the race here largely doomed his chances of back to back titles. Houston's last lap move for victory here meant he left Martinsville now leading the point standings by 92 points after his big gain here but his title hopes too would eventually end in a cloud of smoke on the same track when the series returned for the finale here at Martinsville a month later. On a related note, Rob Moroso's third-place finish lifted him from fifth to third in the standings as he continued his valiant late season charge toward the title. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
