Bill France, Jr ruined NASCAR. 5. He had already talked about how Dale Jarrett was a little down that he was left out over the winter and didn't get another Cup ride and how a win in this race would mean so much. I'd say it was about a 60 percent chance Jarrett would've held Earnhardt off for the win had he not made that mistake. He ended up getting a full time ride back in Winston Cup for the rest of the season anyway a couple weeks after this plus won his 4th and 5th career Busch races later in the year. This was the first time ever that a driver led the points standings in both Winston Cup and Busch Series 3 races through the season in both series. It was already a record just 2 races in for Earnhardt before he kept the lead in both the 3rd races as well. 6. jensenators posted: 01.04.2019 - 10:53 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Caution 1- Lap 66-70.
