Billy Standridge was a spinner in the 1st 3 cautions.

Dominating performance for Bown, breaking a winless streak that
stretched back to 1986 at Oxford Plains in Maine. Bown lead every lap
and almost lapped the entire field.

Are rare thing leading ever lap in a race. the first win for Bown in his
championship season.

This race was broadcast on Sportschannel America. The announcer for the
race was Ron Williams. Most race fans know him as Rick Benjamin. I
wonder if anyone knows the reason he used a different name?

One source states Rick did it to hide his announcing from his parents.
That's the story I've read a few times over why. It could also have been
a network decision to use another name on the air, similar to how back
in the day when DJs changed stations they changed on air names in
certain markets when they went from one station to another.

The commentators were Rick Benjamin and Glenn Jarrett with Ralph Sheheen
being the sole pit road reporter.
