six Oldsmobiles in the top 10, Chevys and Fords were the minority in
this field. Lot of Buicks in here too.

Chuck Bown spun Kyle Petty out of 3rd spot in turn 4 coming to get the

Correction w/the late Bobby Hamilton's sponsor - should be TIC, the
longtime sponsor of FilMar #8, instead of Kool-Aid (was also on Mikey
Waltrip's #30 Pon-tee-act along w/Country Time).

Crew Chief for car 32 was John Ervin. During the pre-race they showed
this team winning the pit crew competition held the night before the race.

Crew Chief for car 59 was Ricky Pearson. It was mentioned during the
broadcast that he was hired 4 days before this race to take over.

Joe Nemechek's crash was a spin into the infield that hit one of the
light poles.

caution 8 also included car 34 spinning down the backstretch, probably
trying to avoid the spinning 25 car.

The commentators were Dr. Jerry Punch and Ned Jarrett with Benny Parsons
as the sole pit road reporter.

First time that ESPN ever showed the Bushc race at IRP, after showing
Thursday and Saturday Night Thunder from there for several years prior
