First race for Frank Bumgarner. He had a big deal with JFG Coffee that
unfortunately only led to a very limited schedule.

Steve Grissom lands a new sponsorship from Channellock pliers and almost
puts the tool company in victory lane right at the start with a
runner-up finish to Bown. This kicked off a several year partnership
between Channellock and Grissom that would net several wins and the 1993
series title. This was Channellock's first race as a NASCAR sponsor with
its bright blue colors becoming a regular sight, mostly in the Busch
series, from here until 2005.
