The BGN race, which was 300 laps and then a 100 lap race for the Hickory late models. I have no idea why this particular race was 276 laps. Perhaps rain shortened? 4. Burton replaced Elton Sawyer in Dillard's #27 Gwaltney's Big 8's Hot Dogs Buick and finished 15th in his first outing. Sawyer meanwhile ran this race as a one-off in Charlie Henderson's #75 Food Country USA Oldsmobile, driving for the very team Burton left to replace him. Sawyer crashed out of this one and after another one-off at Myrtle Beach the next week he missed a few races before landing with Fred Harris' short-lived #67 team to close out the season, still finishing in the top-20 in points. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
