Busch Series patriarch Jack Ingram finishes 9th in his final start at
the age of 54. Rookie Tracy Leslie scored his best finish of the year in
the race he would win 2 years later.

Bown had the race won, but had his safety belts come undone with 11 laps
to go under caution. Chuck had to stop to fasten his harness, and
dropped back to the rear. Terrible way to lose a race.

Both Dale Earnhardt and Darrell Waltrip failed to qualify for this race
during time trials. Earnhardt raced his way into the field through a
qualifying race. Darrell Waltrip still didn't make it in and had to use
a promoter's option. In other words the promoter says we advertised
these Winston Cup stars were going to be here, Davey Allison broke his
hand punching a hauler already, so I say DW is in the field.
