A few observations: > TNN misspelled Joe Nemechek's name (as seen during the pace) laps as Nemachek > Shawna Robinson's bright yellow Buick is def. a few years older than the other Buick Regal models in this race > Considering how they'd wrecked together earlier in the race, TNN's interviewing both Patty Moise & Elton Sawyer after the race was over came across as great TV (if not for filler time at the end of their alloted broadcast time) > Such a feel-good story to see Jimmy Hensley win this race; being unsponsored with a small crew, having troubles earlier in the week/down to 1-2 cars, etc. - likely never see that again @ this level. The sight of so many other pit crew members shaking/congratulating Hensley afterwards for winning this race was also very nice to see, as it's doubtful Hensley a.k.a. "The VA Gentleman" had a single enemy anywhere. Most people may not know that his humility may be in part to having a 'real job' during the week driving a fuel tanker truck 10. The following season in 92 he started to run Busch full time again until getting the Cale Yarborough ride in Winton Cup early in the season and ended up winning Rookie of the year at age 47. He was 1 year younger than Dick Trickle was when he became the oldest to win it a couple years before. It got him a full time ride in Cup for the next couple years and then he went on to the Nascar Truck Series when it started up. He won 2 Truck races and placed in the top 10 in points for 4 consecutive years throughout his early 50s. Seemed like a good guy that up until getting that full time ride in Cup was mostly known for qualifying Dale Earnhardt's car for him at Martinsville when Dale couldn't get there in time because of a hurricane and put it on the pole, therefore gaining him a spot in the Busch Clash the following season. 12.
