Ernie Irvan was spun by Tracy Leslie off Turn 2 on the final lap, sending Ernie for a flight. No wonder NASCAR instituted roof flaps the next season after this race and the cup race the same weekend. 3. Earnhardt would score the sweep this weekend, winning the next day's classic DieHard 500 Randy LaJoie scores a career best to that point finish 6. James W. Anyone remember that? 7. nascarman posted: 03.25.2008 - 6:20 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Joe Bessey had a very hard hit when his car went driver's side into the trioval wall. 8. Still under yellow, it later blew out onto the track before the track crews recovered it. 10. Source:Racing Champions made a diecast of the car in the premier line. This also was the same car that Neil Bonnett flipped crashed into the catch fence in the Cup race a day later. 13. RaceFanX posted: 08.09.2015 - 9:46 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I went back and watched some video from this race on Youtube and I don't see Alltel on Earnhardt's car at all, maybe it was a small associate but Big E had his standard black Goodwrench Lumina in this race. Busch and Cup cars weren't compatible in the 1990s. The car Neil flipped the next day was Dale's Pepsi 400 winner. 14. I get them confused sometimes. 15. nascarman posted: 12.24.2015 - 10:39 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) A little typo: for caution #4, car #69 is listed as involved in the wreck when it should say #60. 16. nascarman posted: 06.21.2016 - 2:03 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) DNQ: 12 / David Bonnett / owner: Neil Bonnett / Chevrolet (this was the car Davey Allison went to Talladega in his helicopter to see test. It was also LaJoie's first Busch start overall in almost three years. This race marked the start of a fruitful relationship between LaJoie and Fina. He would continue to race for them and Moroso through the end of the 1994 season then partner with them again for a three-year tenure from 1996 to 1998 at BACE Motorsports to win many races and the 1996 and 1997 Busch Series championships. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
