Cancer would end up claiming Casey Elliott's life a couple of years after this, I believe. An interesting fact about Mark Martin's 1993 Busch Season is that he won every race that he was running at the finish of. 2. Now, some Nationwide races have short fields and that includes the MSRP Motorsports-type teams who run 50 laps and quit 3. While in third, his carburetor developed a problem and was forced to retire from the race. 5. chris posted: 06.22.2012 - 9:18 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I think the reason for the half time break in the 2 charlotte busch races is because the division in the beginning did not run 200 lap races on tracks over a mile. Their were also many drivers and teams that were not used to running the bigger tracks, so they put in the half time break to help them out if they needed to make changes to their cars. It's just a guess of why they had a half time break, i'm not 100% sure. 6. 83andJoe posted: 09.17.2013 - 3:34 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) #28 owner: Tommy Allison (Tommy took over team ownership following Davey's death) 7. He crashed out but at least he didn't roll over again like his did in his debut at MIS. 8. Randy LaJoie took him out on the tri-oval for laughs while both were running in the top 5 10. Ironically this actually was the first time he scores a top-10 in the series at this track, he had plenty of experience running here since 1987 . 13. saltsburgtrojanfan posted: 01.01.2017 - 12:05 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Caution 1: Lap 10-12: #94 accident turn 2 Caution 2: Lap 17-20: #59 engine Caution 3: Lap 24-28: #4,19 accident frontstretch Caution 4: Lap 38-42: #20 spun frontstretch Caution 5: Lap 91-94: #72 accident turn 3 Caution 6: Lap 96-97: #1,8,20,30,97 accident turn 2 Caution 7: Lap 101-105: halfway break Caution 8: Lap 111-113: #41 engine Caution 9: Lap 123-128: #74 accident turn 4 Caution 10: Lap 137-140: #99 accident turn 3 Caution 11: Lap 149-154: #55,79 accident frontstretch Caution 12: Lap 192-194: #1 stalled turn 4 14. The Skoal #0 team brought Robert Pressley in to run the last four races of the season while Mast focused on the Cup series from here on out. Mast cut his teeth in the Busch series but would just one further Busch start after this when he pinch hit for Jimmy Spencer at Michigan in 1998. 15. Only the first 10 drivers are qualified, all others are DNQ. The race results of that qualifying race is here: http://www.ultimateracinghistory.com/race.php?raceid=23701 would be interesting to see a page been created for that race as a qualifying race. 16.
