Chad Little broke his collarbone in a massive crash on lap 46. Other drivers involved in the wreck were Sterling Marlin, Randy LaJoie, Morgan Shepherd, Tracy Leslie, Derrike Cope, Dale Jarrett, Bobby Labonte, and Dave Rezendes. 2. phil parsons posted: 05.17.2006 - 8:53 pm Rate this comment: (10) (0) I love you're site. And look at today's races, buschwankers make up the majority of cars as field fillers and some regulars start pulling out. What a damn shame. 9. Kenny Wallace finishes last but keeps his points lead by a scant 2 points. He'd lose it to Ricky Craven after the next race at Dover. 11. rob posted: 02.20.2013 - 11:02 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Parsons on hoosier tires ran down the goodyear shod martin late to win. the multi-car crash that injured little was triggered by stanton barrett who crashed into the outside wall and shot back across the track into the path of much of the field. it was probably the most spectacular crash that i've ever witnessed at charlotte. 12. I mean, the kid never showed no flashes of success in his brief NASCAR career, except here. And a top 5? C'mon! Ronald Cooper finished 7th, started 40! How come his career was over, never raced again after the week at Dover after several outstanding performances in the first few races this season? 14. Tim Bender starts very well but crashes early. Whoops I guess...though Bender seems to have been good at qualifying, ten top 20 starts (one of them being a pole) in his career compared to 2 top 20 finishes. In 1997, Bender was let go from his ride for Robbie Reiser's team early in the year, and Reiser would soon find talent in a young short tracker by the name of Matt Kenseth. 17. No he didn't call people the worst driver ever, but he was way too obsessed with hating on drivers- Vickers and Blaney in particular. His post outlining Vicker's career year-by-year, might just be the most pseudointellectual post I have ever seen on here. Then you got Kit and DSFF on Michael Waltrip's page. Danica10Racer is the worst troll we have on here nowadays, and he is probably the tamest worst troll ever. But Phil Parsons posting on here in 2006 is quite ironic. I was a lurker back then, and I can remember people actually celebrating Earnhardt's death on the 2001 Daytona 500 page. People are disgusting man. 27. Josh posted: 01.31.2017 - 10:27 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) The big crash came on a restart, I remember watching the Coca-Cola 600 the next day and they did a quick recap of this race coming out of a commercial break and showed the crash...from what I recall, for some reason, a car jerked to the right toward the front half of the field and everyone piled in behind. What exacerbated the crash was that it started coming out of the dogleg, so the angles of impact were steeper than an average straightaway crash. A few cars suffered vicious impacts with either the outside or inside wall, as well as other cars. At the time, I had never heard of Skinner so couple days leading up to this event, I was curious who he was. Once the TBS broadcast came on with Ken Squire. A true underdog this was with Gene Petty ( a relative of Richard ) who put a small unheard team together, came down and qualified on the pole. Skinner hung around the top 10 first part of the race before sneaking up to grab the lead, passing Cup star Ken Schrader causing a loud roar from the grandstands which caught the eye of Richard Childress who hired Skinner a few months later to drive in the newly formed craftsman truck series. This race got Mike Skinner a career in NASCAR! Without this, perhaps we never would've heard of Mike Skinner 36. 23andJoe posted: 04.25.2020 - 8:00 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Additional DNQs: -Robbie Reiser -Mike Garvey 37. (Steve Grissom got a provisional and made the race however he wrecked in the qualifying race) all others are DNQ. The race results of that qualifying race is here: http://www.ultimateracinghistory.com/race.php?raceid=23703 would be interesting to see a page been created for that race as a qualifying race. 38.
