He had to start in the back after replacing the injured Dotter (who had a vicious crash in Dover breaking his shoulder blade). He was charging in the late stages. It would have been a tough call though, Labonte was pretty much killing the field for the duration of this event, but on even ground Lagasse may just have gotten him. Sadly its just a forever what-if 9. Peck handed over the car to Bodine in the opening laps so it was still Bodine who drove most of the race. Bodine would have a rough day and finish well down the running order while Peck briefly joined the announcers in the TNN booth for a short chat during a caution. Dennis Setzer turns in a solid top-15 run with a lead lap finish. It was more impressive than it seems since this was Setzer's first career road course race of any type. This was also Johnny Rumley's first road course start ever but he finished well down the running order after his T-Bird broke down at the Inner Loop and brought out a caution. This was Randy Porter's first Busch race at the Glen and his pit crew tried to help him out for it by tapping a map of the track to the dashboard of his white #35. Porter still had a rough day, spinning out at one point. Elton Sawyer came into this race hot off his first career Busch win at Myrtle Beach but blew a motor and finished well down the running order. 10. jensenators posted: 01.19.2020 - 6:42 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Updates based on youtube video: Crew Chief: 2- John Monsam.
