She then had problems in the race as soon as the green flag fell to start the race. 2. Randy LaJoie would get the next ones with BACE Motorsports. BACE was one of the Busch only superteams. If there was an HOF for the BGN, this team goes in on the first ballot. 4. 23andJoe posted: 03.07.2014 - 3:45 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Known DNQs: Tommy Houston, #6 Red Devil Enamels Ford (Tommy Houston) 5. ericthenau posted: 11.06.2015 - 12:46 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Found another DNQ for the race: Jeff Green, #3 GM Goodwrench Service Chevrolet (Dale Earnhardt, Inc.) Believe it or not, Jeff Green was actually in the #03 car owned by Hank Parker, Sr. in this race. Green's regular #3 had an oil pump problem develop in second round qualifying for the race, causing his car's engine to fail and also making him DNQ for the race (because of no qualifying time posted for the round). Afterwards, Hank Parker, Sr. and David Bonnett relinquished the #03 car to Green for the race, so that he could start the event and get the driver's points for the Busch Series championship. In the first caution of the race, Green let Bonnett back into the #03, and allowed Bonnett to complete the race in the car. 6. 28DaveyAllison28 posted: 01.09.2016 - 9:30 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Jim Bown's 3rd place run in this race, running up front contending with the leaders came out of nowhere. 7. Martin led early only for an engine failure to sideline his Winn-Dixie #60 very quickly. 8. The commentators would joke that he should run the whole series and go for the title. Or say these Busch guys are probably glad he isn't running the whole schedule. Little did they know that would become a reality with Cup drivers in the future. @5 Another interesting thing about that is Jeff Green was driving for Dale Earnhardt and the car he got into for this race was actually one of Darrell Waltrips old Busch Series cars he sold to Hank Parker after he decided to retire from the series. 9. saltsburgtrojanfan posted: 03.28.2019 - 7:46 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Caution 1: Lap 31-35: #44 accident turn 3 Caution 2: Lap 56-60: #90 accident turn 4 Caution 3: Lap 71-73: #39 spun backstretch Caution 4: Lap 129-133: #7 accident turn 4 10.
