Correction: Mike Joy said that Patty Moise is not failed, but Johnny took Patty's car at the same time. 7. Lepage claims that he got into the speedy dry on the bottom of the racetrack and knocked into Little's back bumper and spun him out. There was tons of damage on Little's car and needless to say Chad was not happy that a lap car costed him the race. Little said something to the nature of Lepage needing to use his head. When Lepage made his comments on the PA system the crowd booed him. Both drivers met in the NASCAR hauler after the incident. Benson then costed to victory as Hermie Sadler just didn't have the car Benson did. 10. The father of current NASCAR drivers Austin and Ty Dillon, finished 16th in his debut after spinning out and tagging the wall on lap 244. Also the Chapman/ Moise thing was Chapman did indeed qualify his car in on time. Moise needed points so he let Moise start the race in his car and on lap 25 Chapman took over. Also, add this on to my previous post, Lepage was penalized 5 laps for the incident with Little. And Johnny Benson had a blister on his foot and needed an ice pack in victory lane. 11. Shelmerdine had a best finish of 19th in the first seven races, but Rumley was impressive in his first outing, leading 26 laps and finishing in 12th place. He would then finish 7th then next race at Loudon, and would win at Dover later on that season for his 2nd and final Busch Series victory. 13. Don't feel too bad for Hillin, he started the season without a Cup ride but got one a few weeks later when D.K. Ulrich fired Davy Jones. 14. He moved up to Winston Cup in 1996 and never ran a full season in the Busch series again. 17. grissom fan posted: 08.09.2016 - 1:22 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Couple of cars ran the V-6 in this race, Bobby Dotter & Randy Porter. Can clearly hear them/their distinctive sound while watching the video. Don't know if this was the final appearance for a V-6 in BGN, but I know it was run @ Bristol during 1 or both of those races - somewhat sure it was the #75 driven by (at that time) Brad Teague. Boy do I miss the short track days of Hickory, S. Boston, Myrtle Beach, Lanier, Orange Co. & Volusia Co., Nashville......really gave the BGN series its own identity. 18.
