Every one of his wins came in the span of 17 races, and all in the 1995 Busch series season. 4. The younger Sadler was having a great season in late model racing at South Boston this year leading up to this start. The Winston Cup series actually had the weekend off for this one, thus series regulars Ward Burton and Jimmy Spencer being free to enter this one exclusively. Mark Martin wasn't in this race but still flew in to attend it, fresh off a top-5 run in an IROC race at M.I.S. on a CART undercard earlier in the day. 9. 42KylePetty42 posted: 10.12.2017 - 8:16 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) If I remember correctly, Elliott Sadler in his debut driving his dad's unsponsored car was running 3rd with one lap to but got spun out. This was the first time I ever heard of both him and Buckshot Jones 10. 23andJoe posted: 10.20.2017 - 10:21 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Skip Pannell's only BGN attempt, but he did run in the precursor Late Model Sportsman National Championship at Daytona in 1976. 11. saltsburgtrojanfan posted: 04.09.2018 - 2:58 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Caution 1: Lap 42-45: #35 spun backstretch Caution 2: Lap 60-65: #23,35 accident turn 3 Caution 3: Lap 115-117: #55 spun turn 4 Caution 4: Lap 208-214: #20,57 accident frontstretch Caution 5: Lap 255-259: #3,47,64 accident Caution 6: Lap 267-272: #00 spun turn 2 Caution 7: Lap 276-280: #12,61 accident turn 1 12. Bobby Dotter drove the #08 car the entire year up until this race. He wasn't allowed to drive it for this race because he and his partners Ronnie and Lee Smith (MPH racing) were fighting. So MPH racing hired defending race champion Dennis Setzer to drive the #08 car for this race. Bobby Dotter was able to get a 1 race only deal with the 64 car, because he was still running for driver points and the 64 car had already had different drivers in the season. Dotter wasn't allowed to drive the 08 or even be around the garage until a deal was finalized where he was going to buy the team completely from his ex partners the following week. It apparently got done because Dotter was back in the #08 for the next race as the sole owner, not having partners to fight with. 13. That deal ultimately wouldn't work out thought, they had a top-15 at Daytona followed by two DNQs, prompting Dotter's release and replacement by Dick Trickle for the rest of the season. 14.
