Steve Grissom became the First Driver to Sweep Both Busch Series Races
at Bristol in the Same Year, haven't been do Since or Yet.

Steve Grissom put the smackdown on the field in this race, winning by a
half lap over the field.
Also of note, Mike McLaughlin had a marriage proposal on the TV Panel of
his French's Chevrolet Lumina.

Oh yes, and the #5 of Brad Teague was the only car running a V6 engine
in the race.

I remember it being a grueling race for Grissom and he had some issues
because of it the next night in the Cup race.

Stevie Reeves takes the Busch Pole and leads 60 laps, a career-high by far.

Steve Grissom only led two races with Channellock sponsorship on the #29
in 1995 but he won both of them. Ironically both were at Bristol and he
led 23 laps in both events

This was also the race where Jason Keller's crew carried gas bottles on
their backs (like scuba tanks) to power their wrenches during pit stops,
rather than dragging long hoses around the car. As I recall, NASCAR was
not pleased and asked the team not to use them again.

John Kernan, Bill Weber and Kyle Petty were the pit road reporters.
