Despite the damage the DEI crew tried valliantly to get him back in the race but it was in vain. Dale Jarrett ran this race, his last at IRP and first one there in five years, at the request of his sponsor Band-Aid who had a good relationship with race sponsor Kroger. He'd win the Brickyard 400 the next day. 6. Dodge posted: 05.01.2009 - 5:58 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) Wasn't this race the first win for Lajoie in his career? 7. The team for the most part pulled it off, even if there was still some visible signs of damage on right rear, as they finished up their work just under 30 minutes before the green flag fell. Their heroic effort would end up almost for naught when Bodine crashed out of the race itself in the opening laps as he and Jeff Green were racing for fourth place. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
