Driving for Ed Whitaker, Earnhardt started an impressive second, lead several laps and had a shot at winning before Robert Pressley bumped him and spun him out. 2. In 2001, he ran the 87 for Joe Nemechek at Charlotte. 3. most posted: 10.29.2006 - 8:52 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Randy Lajoie and Buckshot had another one of their deals in this race, that was a good rivalry. 4. Pearson withdrew his entry and Chris Diamond used his own back up car and used Pearson's spot and car number #50 to make the race." 7. 10andJoe posted: 09.30.2012 - 2:37 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) To the rear: Chris Diamond, #50 (driver change). 8. This was Pressley's best finish during his tenure with the Geschickter team. 11. Problem is the spotters are on top the roof outside of the track on top. And getting across the track during the race is hard to do. So the team's owner, Bill Baumgardner is standing on top of the teams transporter in middle of the garage doing the spotting. Then, under the second caution (at the 11 minute, 50 seconds mark on YouTube of this race).. its quite humorous watching the fireman trying to put the fire out on Glenn Allen's car and Benny Parsons commentary is hilarious! 12.
