It's a shame the rest of his career didn't go like this. 4. Darrell posted: 06.23.2006 - 3:53 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Also forgot to mention Bessey was will the weekend of this race. Makes this win an even bigger accomplishment. 5. Forgive me, Darrell. I don't mean to correct you, but did you mean Joe Bessey was ILL? (I've made some ridiculous typos.) 6. However, replays confirmed that Bessey never touched him. Two huge multi-car crashes in this race as well. The first involved Michael Waltrip and Jeff Fuller, among others. The second started when Kevin Lepage lost it in turn 4 and collected Bobby Labonte, Mark Krogh, and about 10 other cars. 7. It got even worse in 1999-2000. Chevrolet had (and still has) an assload of cash to spend on the series that Ford just couldn't match. However, the racing was awesome around this time, making it even harder to complain about the lack of parity. 12. posted: 11.23.2008 - 8:00 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) It's also hard to complain that Pontiacs used to dominate and fill the field back in the early days of the Busch/Nationwide series. 13. It wasn't Buckshot who drove into Victory Lane but some of his crewmen who tried to obstruct Bessey but he never checked up and forced them to get out of the way, lol. 17. 44andJoe posted: 12.24.2012 - 4:24 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Did Not Qualify: Bill Hoff, #86 Mawson & Mawson Chevrolet Eddie Beahr, #39 Fidelity Printing Ford 18.
