In fact, take away his dominant performance here at Myrtle Beach and LaJoie only led 15 laps all year long. 4. It didn't last long, Tony wrecked out early. Joe Gibbs team would run another "Small Soliders" paint job on Bobby Labonte's #18 Pontiac later in the year at the Cup plate races. 7. All other Busch races either are or were uploaded in full or in the case of (afaik) 6 races which have never surfaced in their entirety, have at least short clips available. I wonder if footage of this race still exists. If it does, it's probably in the possession of some pathetic loser like that Coker guy who'd rather let nobody see any races online than to upload anything he "owns". 18. Onion posted: 06.02.2020 - 5:40 pm Rate this comment: (3) (0) To my knowledge, these are the Busch Series races since 1994 that have never been on Youtube: 1998 Nazareth 1998 Myrtle Beach (The only one without any kind of footage) 2009 Chicagoland (hard to find, search for "2009 Chicago NNWS" for the clips) 2009 Dover Autumn 2009 Kansas 2009 Fontana Autumn 2009 Phoenix Autumn All the others are or at least were available in full or almost full. As you can see, my previous comment should have said other 6, as there's 7 in total. Neither of the 2009 races seem of any value, but I'd love these two 1998 races resurface somehow. There's still hope, since the 1995 Loudon race just recently shown up for the first time a few weeks ago. 20. One of the last 3 missing Busch Series races, none of the well-known uploaders seem to have it and the actual NASCAR channel goes ahead and uploads it? So unexpected. I'm extremely glad this happened. Jay Coker must be melting down as we speak. Now only the 2009 Charlotte race and the 1998 Nazareth one are missing. 23. There were two "competition yellows" at lap 80 and 160, where they ran 5 non-scored caution laps. You were only allowed to change tires during those "competition yellows" unless you had a cut tire. That's why the 4-car wreck around lap 160 took only 2 laps of yellow, and the lap 80 yellow doesn't show up in the standings. I also remember the PA guy introducing the TV guys, and he said David, not Larry, Pearson, was the color commentator. PA guy was wrong, but David would have done a better job of it. 25. simkon posted: 09.15.2020 - 7:47 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) #22 I believe that NASCAR procured a few of the races off of my friend because if you watch a few of the older Myrtle Beach races they have the same tracking and quality issues as my copies do. NASCAR however did editing to remove the commercials and as much as possible depicting TV network logos. 26. Earnhardt goes without saying - everyone knew the son of Dale Earnhardt would be a star, and most expected him to win several championships. Stewart, likewise, was well known (he was, after all, the defending Indycar champion) and expectations for his career in stock cars were very high. The only maybe would be Kenseth, who was not well known in the south since his lower-level racing was mostly in the midwest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
