The final ten laps of this race were awesome as Trickle held off a
faster but less experienced Earnhardt, Jr. for the victory.

Chad Little returns to the Busch Series for a one-off in the #9 Ford
usually driven by Jeff Burton. This was the only time Little went
"Buschwacking" for his Cup team owner at the time Jack Roush.

Dick was 56 and about a month and a half away from turning 57, but yes.
Ruttman is close behind at 56 and 6 months

Trickle won the race back to the caution flag over Dale Jr. by a margin
I believe closer than Craven/Busch in 2003!

The commentators for the race were Jerry Punch, Benny Parsons and Kyle
Petty. The pit road reporters were Ray Dunlap and Bill Weber.

Darlington. Listen how genuine & fun Jerry Punch and Kyle Petty's
commentary was back then during the last 5 laps.

And Jerry Punch referring to Dick Trickle as ?The Deckster? is hilarious
and would NEVER fly in today's world
