I think this was the race where the crew had Lajoie jacked way up
working on the car and the jack fell nearly crushing a crew worker....

This was the fourth race in a row Jeff Finley failed to qualify for. He
and Ed Rensi's #25 team parted company after this and he did not run in
the Busch series again. Kerry Earnhardt and the #40 Channellock team
also parted company after this race.

To the rear:
#9 Burton (backup car)
#27 Atwood (driver choice; he was ill and was relieved by Stanton
Barrett during the 1st caution flag)
#34 McLaughlin (backup car)
#66 Bodine (pitted before green)
#83 K. Grubb (driver change; Joe Nemechek qualified the car)

Phil Parsons, Elton Sawyer, and Hermie Sadler stayed out and caught a
caution on lap 110, trapping everyone but original leader Matt Kenseth a
lap down. Kenseth would easily run away from Sawyer and Parsons from
there, while Sadler punctured his radiator in a jam-up on the ensuing
restart and eventually blew his engine.

Kevin Grubb misses the show in the 37, but then takes over his brother's
83. Wayne missed this weekend due to a crash in Atlanta and the car was
qualified by Joe Nemechek.

Weber and Ray Dunlap were the pit road reporters.
