Steve Grissom actualy had a motor blow during the caution for the Blaney
crash. He was not involved.

Jason Keller scores his second Busch series win ends an over 100-race
winless streak dating back to his debut triumph back at IRP in 1995. It
was the first of two races he would win from the pole, both in 1999.

Tony Raines had awkward crash in this one as his #74 Chevrolet received
heavy damage, lost the brakes, and ended up just lightly bumping into a
safety truck as he tried to enter the pits afterward. Raines was
collected in a three-car crash that Phil Parsons escaped but that wiped
out Raines and Jeff Krogh's entries. It was a rough weekend for BACE
Motorsports; Raines' #74 ended up with one-off sponsorship from Bayer
and Alka-Seltzer after his teammate Jason Jarrett in the #33 failed to
qualify.

Grissom ran this race as a one off in Jimmy Spencer's #12 as Mr.
Excitement was out due to an injury.

The first NASCAR race I ever attended. Front stretch seats and a hot,
hot day. A great weekend despite my favorite driver at the time, Randy
LaJoie, had a rough day in the Bob Evans car from the start crashing out
early.

Dr. Jerry Punch, Benny Parsons and Kyle Petty were the commentators.
Bill Weber and Ray Dunlap were the pit road reporters.
