Pretty uneventful Richmond race. It was delayed due to rain for several
hours, so the whole event seemed to be rushed at the end.

Mark Martin and Jeff Burton had the two best cars late, but Jason Keller
had a mechanical problem late that cost him a top-5 and a shot at the win.

Jeff Burton was sponsored by Hardee's for this race for the event, not
his usual Track Gear scheme.

I got jeff's car unopened from Hardees's after this race. It was
official too. It had all the decals, including Busch Beer and a couple
other deleted sponsors from cars that they usually sell. Got it for 5
dollars I think. That is what I remember most about this race...and that
Jr crashed. Oh how things stay the same.

I'm pretty sure this is the only time that the previous race winner was
parked for being too slow.

Dr. Jerry Punch, Benny Parsons and Kyle Petty were the commentators.
Bill Weber and Ray Dunlap were the pit road reporters.

My fist race. Folks took us out of school early, played in the rain
soaked bleachers, good day/night. Been hooked ever since Mark Martin in
that 60 Winn Dixie car was a beast
