Wish I could find a tape of this race, it was brutal. 3. Tim Fedewa disregarded the "gentleman's agreement" and passed Jr. before the caution. After another restart, Jr. and Fedewa raced a little too hard, giving Kenseth an opportunity to pass them both for the lead. The rain delay lasted a dreadful 4:53, causing the race to be cut short because the spotters could not see the backstretch. 4. Sadler (driver change; Brad Bennett qualified the car) Kenny Wallace was also in Charlotte for The Winston / Winston Open and had Rick Fuller qualify his #25 car. Fuller didn't make the race on qualifying speed so he also had to start the car since Kenny wasn't eligible to start a provisional car (because he was in the top 35 of Cup points). Wallace took over in relief during an early caution flag. J.D. Gibbs' DNQ should be listed in the #18 car. 11. As the field made their way onto pit road, race leader Jeff Green, missed the pit entrance, and went straight down the access road, thinking pit road was still closed, as Terry Labonte's car was still stopped at the end of the pit lane. Green was forced to pit next time around, and dropped to the rear. This took him out of contention for the win, and he would finish 7th ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
