Bown's run here was superb all-around, showing some of that ability that made him the 1990 Busch Series champ. It's such a shame he'd only run two more races in his career 9. Hokie20 posted: 01.09.2009 - 10:25 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Mark Martin and Dale Jr. had the best two cars for the entire race. The two traded the lead several times, but Martin prevailed late, earning his third-straight Busch win before Junior ripped off three-straight of his own. Kevin Schwantz's hard hit came after his car rode down the banking in turn two. He hit the wall almost head-on at an opening in the wall for emergency vehicles. He was airlifted to the local hospital. This was also Adam Petty's only Busch race at Lowe's Motor Speedway, a track where he won an ARCA event just a year earlier. He finished last after losing control of his car coming out of turn four and hitting driver's side. 10. rob posted: 05.30.2011 - 1:45 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) with junior and jeff gordon in the field , there was a huge crowd on hand for this one. probably the best attendance ever for a charlotte busch event. 11.
