Junior needed to lead by more than 185 points to clinch. 4. Anonymous posted: 03.14.2009 - 12:14 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Ken Schrader's last Busch pole. 5. This was Jeff Gordon's fourth Busch series victory and his only one of 1999, the first year of his two-year comeback in the Pepsi car. It was also his first Busch victory in a Chevrolet, all his prior wins came in Bill Davis' Fords. 9. ericthenau posted: 08.07.2014 - 12:22 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) #70 owner: Mark Albertson 10. While the pair's partnership in Cup ended a month earlier they continued to work together on their Busch program, away from Hendrick Motorsports, to finish off the year. The car Gordon drove to victory in this race, upgraded into a 2000 Monte Carlo, was sold at the 2015 Barrett-Jackson (minutes before this post actually) for $500,000. The car was sold to benefit the Jeff Gordon Foundation (which drove the price up more than you'd expect for a 16-year-old Busch series car). Dale Earnhardt, Jr.'s Superman paint job in this race was part of a year-long Action Performance program across several series, the program involved various drivers (mostly defending series champions) running Man of Steel paint schemes. Jeff Gordon had run the Winston Cup version at the 1999 all-star race. 11. stricklinfan82 posted: 07.16.2016 - 8:39 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) To the rear: #45 Petty (engine change) 12.
