Randy Lajoie won his only race of 2000 when Nashville native Chad
Chaffin was wrecked by Jeff Green while leading. The resulting accident
was a massive 13 car pileup. Lajoie miraculously drove right through and
held off Mike McLaughlin
Notes: Ricky Hendrick got his first career top 5. Derek Gilcrest drove
SABCO's 82 and Steadman Marlin drove SABCO's 42

Last race at the Nashville short track. They built a new 1.3 mile track
in Nashville they ran at the following year.

Shame they dropped this track for the Speedway, This track was more
interesting then the speedway. Since the speedway closed maybe they will
bring an event back here.

Would love to see it Chris o but I heard this track is in a real bad
area of Nashville. Still could work though but we'll see. Great little
short track for sure!

I wonder what might have been for Chad Chaffin's career had he not
wrecked in this race. He was up there battling for the lead for most of
the race up until that point, in mediocre equipment I might add.
