At first nobody said anything about him but when ESPN's in-car camera showed him recieving oxygen, THEN a lot of attention was on him. The last laps after the restart from the late Blaise Alexander's crash (one of the biggest hits into the inside wall leading to pit road at Talladega I've ever seen) were some of the most thrilling I can remember in a Busch race of any kind. Maybe it was Jerry Punch's commentary. He knows how to get the excitement level going, and I can't wait to have him back in 2007. 2. Roper, Irwin and Alexander all made some sort of news..... 9. Bobby Hamilton Jr. chimes in with his first career top-5. 10. The 3 cautions in the race were all because of crashes. The 17 car of Matt Kenseth was actually a backup car that they had to re-purchase from the Hank Parker Jr. team. The car was sold to Hank because the 17 didn't figure they needed it. After Matt crashed in practice, they reacquired it and decaled it up just in time for the race, even though it was black. 12. Ryan posted: 07.19.2020 - 11:47 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) @22 Please stop doing this. You're like a serial Busch whacker lister. It's absolutely hilarious to consider Kenny Irwin, Kenny Wallace, and Joe Nemechek "bushwhackers". The only one that had Cup wins was Nemechek and that wasn't many. Buschwackers are elite drivers that race full time in Cup and drive elite equipment in the Busch/Xfinity series. Many times Cup drivers that drove in the Xfinity Series were on a close racing level when it came to equipment and talent with some of the drivers as was the case for those three. You're right to say that Labonte and Kenseth are when it comes to talent, however, not when it comes to equipment in that series. For this particular race Ron Hornaday and Harvick were in better equipment than all of them. And arguably was just as talented. 24. I mentioned it since the indy 500 2020 is tomorrow now no fans will attend sadly. I know its weird and sad. But I hope they get good ratings. 26. danny posted: 08.22.2020 - 10:19 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) This race had the first and only lead lap finishes for both Mike Borkowski and Michael Ritch in their careers, Andy Kirby had his 1st lead lap run both were at Talladega by the way and his three best finishes were at Talladega while Tony Roper had his last career busch lead lap run as was his team Washington-Erving Racing. It also was Hut Stricklin's last Busch Series Top 10. and Bobby Hamilton Jr, First Busch Top 5 and in a NASCAR National Touring series. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
