And CBS was the network that was the first to actually televise a NA$CAR race live in its entirety, and provide on-board cameras which gave the folks at home audio. Like NBC does better? 3. However, you couldn't rely on CBS to always air the race or even bump it to TNN if there was a rain delay. Even though NBC's coverage is crappy, you can at least be assured that you will get to see the race in some form. However, in this race at Milwaukee, CBS did at least turn coverage over to TNN after a rain delay. But there were many more times that they did not, like at the 2000 Texas Busch race, a truck race at Nashville in 1999, and the infamous 1 week tape delay of the 1996 DieHard 500 at Talladega in which Dale Earnhardt was injured. 4. most posted: 10.18.2007 - 1:25 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I was so pissed, I didnt have cable at the time so I assumed it was over then like 3 days later found out I had missed the end result, oh well I had thought Green won anyway! 5.
