Ward Burton filled in for Mike McLaughlin in this race. Mike was with
his family as his father passed away that weekend

3. I bet people most definitely weren't expecting someone named Kyle
Busch with Joe Gibbs will go into absolutely unstoppable mode and will
win 74 races for him in just 8 years with 2012 break back then.
So Mark Martin's reign of terror (39 wins from 1992-2000) is nothing
against Kyle Busch's reign of terror (74 wins from 2008-2011 and
2013-present).

This was Martin's third-straight Busch win and eighth overall at the
Lady in Black. With Martin's planned retirement from Busch series racing
at the end of the 2000 season for years it looked like his then-series
record 45th win here would be his last before he rejoined the series on
a part-time basis in 2004 and picked up a handful of additional wins.
