Rodney Sawyers pulled in after a few laps in an R&D car for Hensley Racing, but I don't recall a major controversy, considering it had happened earlier in the year. 2. biffle16 posted: 01.07.2007 - 2:19 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I will admit that I was not impressed when Biffle knocked the lapped car of Shane Hall out of the way, but I will say this: Hall had been blocking him for several laps before, for no apparent reason, and then, after Hall comes out of the pits, he slammed into Biffle, who was in second place and was, besides Harvick, basically the only guy who could challenge for the win. Biffle fell back to fourth, and Hall, I hope, had to go to the Big Blue Truck after the race. 3. 29fan4ever posted: 04.14.2008 - 12:23 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) man 4 yrs in a row that ac delco won at gateway with both jr and harvick thats amazing 4. It's the only race he skipped in 2001. 5. ii posted: 08.31.2010 - 6:41 am Rate this comment: (1) (2) a.)Young Jimmie Johnson finished an impressive 14th in his up and down season with underfunded machinery b.)I don't know why Lewis didn't race. 6. 1995z71 posted: 12.20.2012 - 10:49 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) I think the car owner of Ashton Lewis skipped this race due to funding. 7. Ryan posted: 05.30.2016 - 4:49 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) The unusual caution for water on the track turned into a red flag. It rained heavily before the race and as the race approached a green flag pit stop, water began seeping through the track at the entrance to pit road. NASCAR didn't want drivers sliding through the water under green so they called a caution so a jet dryer could get out there and remove the water. A red flag was called as the cars passed halfway. It was very brief and cars were making yellow flag pit stops by the time they came back from commercial. 11.
