Despite having 2 sponsors (and almost 30 paint jobs :) ) during the 2001 season, both left and the team was unable to find a new one leaving the veteran Sawyer without a ride for the first time in years. It, in essence, ended Sawyer's career as he would make only 3 more Busch starts as a replacement for Kevin Lepage in the #37 for Brewco at the end of the next season before ending up out of NASCAR 6. Though he'd go on to continued success on the short tracks, even winning the 2006 Dodge Weekly Racing Series national title, Morris would never again get the chance to drive in NASCAR's three premier divisions. 9. The setup proved to be a wild one as Harvick dominated the race until the motor blew with 40 laps left and he retired from the lead. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
