Bobby Hamilton Jr. threw the monkey off his back. After losing at
Richmond, Hamilton Jr. took advantage of leader Jeff Burton's
misfortunes to win the race. Points Leader Jason Keller had overheating
allowing Sprague to retake the points lead. Ron Hornaday Jr. replaced
Lyndon Amick in the #26. He finished 14th

First caution was brought out in this race by the 84 of Brian Weber
hitting the wall, not the 8 of Jeff Spraker.

Several cars were damaged when the field stacked up on a lap 7 restart,
including those of Stacy Compton, Kenny Wallace, Todd Bodine and Jason
Keller. Not too long thereafter, Keller pulled behind the wall with the
#57 apparently done for the day, and changed out of his racing clothes
and headed for the airport. But the team managed to piece together his
Ford well enough to get back out and make laps, and with Keller gone and
Andy Santerre hanging around for the Busch North race later that day,
Andy got behind the wheel of the 57 and drove it to its ultimate 32nd
place finish.

Hamilton Jr. overcame 2 horrible pit stops, one of which the rear
changer didn't get all the lug nuts on the LR wheel, to win this race.
It's one of the most amazing comebacks I've seen in the Busch Series.

was this race actually sponsored by Busch or was it just called because
it was a (then) Busch Series race
