Many drivers had a sticker on their cars to honor him. 4. adamal82 posted: 09.09.2008 - 2:07 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Dodge's first win in the BGN series 5. Not the best race, but a likable winner and a good fight between Keller and Hornaday in the opening quarter. 11. rm posted: 08.30.2016 - 2:07 pm Rate this comment: (3) (1) "Not the best race..." A lot of the Pikes Peak races were rather dull or boring. People seem to conveniently forget that though when they recall 90s/2000s tracks that are no longer hosting races. The same goes for Nazareth. 12. Sean posted: 08.30.2016 - 6:29 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I don't have a lot of nostalgia for that track either. I always thought the races there were more boring than the Hickory, IRP, Myrtle Beach, Milwaukee, Nashville, Nazareth, and South Boston races. 13. I absolutely loved Nazareth, my mother used to cater for the wife of the president of Road America so we would be their guests for the CART race at Nazareth. It doesn't hurt I met Mario Andretti and my favorite Indycar driver, Bobby Rahal, there either. 15. rm posted: 08.30.2016 - 7:45 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) Nazareth definitely fell flat (heh) in NASCAR. Same goes for Milwaukee, both were cool tracks but not suitable for exciting NASCAR races. 16. Perhaps if it stayed around, PPIR could have done the same. But even though they're no longer on the schedule, I would hope that the tracks would still be successful. Pikes Peak has survived as a multi purpose track since it reopened. Milwaukee was doing really well until 2010, but now they have no races this year. Nazareth wasn't so lucky... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
